A family commissioned a holiday home on a long, narrow, beachfront site covered in pine trees. The prevailing winds required a solution that creates an open veranda for the main living areas and a screen with sliding glass doors on either side. Either side can be pulled for protection from the prevailing wind, leaving the leeward side open for access to outdoor terraces and maintaining the beachfront view.
