The basin is a glacial landform situated north of Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. The floor of the basin is bounded by Coronet Peak to the north, the Crown Range to the east and The Remarkables mountain range to the south.
This residence references rural utility structures that support the basin’s pastoral activities. The building is massed as a long rectangular form with roof and walls clad in a single material.
