1973 House (reworked)

The house was commissioned in 1973. Auckland architect Ron Sang delivered a residence constructed in in-situ concrete. Reworking of the residence inserts fine steel framed glazing amongst the original concrete columns, beams and shear walls. The concrete is exposed and softened by a sarked timber ceiling throughout.

The reworking of the house was awarded the NZIA Supreme Award for Architecture on its completion.
