Croatian Coast Villa
This concept is for a family villa on the island of Korcula, sited off the Croatian coast. The retreat is configured as a number of stone buildings set around terraced courtyards on the arid outcrops.
The shaded interior spaces are extended by the use of awnings slung between the building masses, overlooking the Adriatic. The architecture uses the local rock and artisanal building techniques to create a very simple composition of cubic forms and relaxed sheltered spaces.
