FUKUKO - The Lucky Child - is a Japanese inspired Shōchū and snack bar located in Britomart's historic Union Fish Building. Doors and windows open to the street, and the space within is both raw and polished - oiled timbers with waxed concrete and plaster. Under-lit glass vessels of infused Shōchu are lined along the walls, carried in industrial steel mesh trays. The furnishings are loose and bespoke, clusters of reversed pelt stools and backlit resin tables in fine steel frames.
